Digital certificates offer the most viable option available for providing both identity verification and data privacy. Using a digital certificate is not mandatory, but it will give you the peace of mind in knowing that nobody can access your account.

What is a Digital Certificate?

The certificate is a special file, which is installed on the computer(s) from which you trade. Upon login to your account, the server will request this file from the client's computer, it will check if it is the one which was registered with Deltastock and only then will it grant access. This means that even if someone acquires your password, without this file he cannot login and trade.

If you open a Digital Certificate with a simple text editor you'll see a sequence of random symbols. It looks like this as the information it contains is encrypted and compressed. This file contains a name, email, ID number and other information, certifying the owner and issuer of the certificate, and two very long numbers called "public" and "private" key. The two keys are used for encryption and decryption, and the prevention of replacement and counterfeiting of the submitted information.

Delta Trading and Digital Certificates

Digital certificates protect both the desktop and the Web version of Delta Trading, therefore there is no need to use different certificates for the different versions.

NOTE: Please note that the WAP and the mobile versions cannot be accessed, if the account is protected with a certificate.

How to request, install and activate your certificate?

Requesting a new or registering an existing certificate:
If you already have a digital certificate issued by one of the following organizations:

• Infonotary
• First Investment Bank
• ePay.bg
• Thawte Personal E-mail Certificates,

you can use it - you only need to register it through the site. If not, Deltastock will issue you a new one for you.

Installation
Once the certificate has been issued/registered, it should be installed on the computer(s) you will use to trade with Delta Trading Desktop and imported in each browser you will use to log in to your profile or trade with Delta Trading WEB.

Activation
To verify that the new/registered certificate is successfully installed, we have introduced the step "Activation". When you first login the WEB version or your profile, two buttons will appear "Activate" and "Not now". If you select "Activate" and choose the correct certificate, it will be activated. Choosing "Not now" will postpone the activation until the next time you login.

Whenever you need, you can temporarily disable your certificate and then activate it through Deltastock's website or through the desktop version of Delta Trading. To check the status of your digital certificate, to request a new one to be issued, or to register an existing certificate, you must login into your account in Delta Trading.
