5 months ago, you were amongst the winners in the Forex Masters competition, achieving a percentage gain of 21.10%.
Now your percentage gain has risen to 29.18%, yet as a whole the gain of the competitors is drastically lower in comparison with previous months. What do you think is the reason for this?
The revenue is smaller, as we are close to the psychological boundary and the movements are smaller, yet more erratic. My higher return is on account of some luck due to the FED’s decision to lower rates.
You trade only EUR/USD. Why did you choose this currency pair? Don’t the other pairs offer a challenge for you?
I don’t have a logical explanation. I just feel the most comfortable when trading EUR/USD.
Your orders are mostly between 5-40 lots. How do you calculate the optimal trade size, with which to enter a position?
I prefer to trade with a leverage of 20%.
You told us that you use mainly 1 hour charts. Does this mean that you rely only on conventional technical analysis? What is your opinion of the wave analysis?
I do not understand it. That’s why I simply use a chart.
Do you have any other preferred instruments for analyses?
No.
You shared with us that you use fundamental analysis, to define only the direction of the trend. Since the beginning of August, the Euro is in an upward trend versus the American Dollar. How long do you expect this movement to continue, and will we soon bear witness to a reversal in the trend? Do you think that the Euro will reach new highs? At what prices?
The movement will continue until 1.45, but nobody knows when this will happen.
Did the unexpectedly large US interest rate cut from 5.25% to 4.75% influence your trading?
Yes I had luck and I won. In the long-term – no.
What direction do you think the currency market will take in the future, since this month most of the key economic indicators came out lower then expected?
The US Dollar will fall. Within a year it will begin retracing.
Have you thought about trading not only on the Forex market, but also on the stock exchange? The Bulgarian stock market has been in an upward trend in resent years and there are many opportunities for large gains. Does this stimulate you to widen the range of your traded instruments?
I have been trading on the stock exchange for a long time. I do not use online platforms, since I invest long-term and I am not interested in short term trends.
